Back to the start

Woah. This hasn’t been touched in ages! Oh well, I guess nows a better time than ever.

I bet you’re wondering why I’ve started blogging again – but then again, I bet no one really reads this other than a select few. Haha. For those who know me well and have been following the blog since day one, you’re probably thinking that I’m emo over something, however this is not the case. I’m merely a really bored person who needs something to kill some time and a few people I know have recently begun blogging, and they just so happened to spark my interest in it once again.

So here’s an update of my life since my last post which was around June. I don’t really know where to begin, so I guess I’ll just mention a few important notes on what’s been happening with my life.

Currently, I’m still working in the same company I was since February this year. Things have been pretty smooth sailing with work – really not much to update on it other than our company being ‘taken over’ by another company who specializes in training. Can’t really say that it effects our company too much, but a lot of stuff happened in between that I don’t think I’m allowed to talk about publicly. Haha.

Though most people know about it by now, I’ve finally gotten into a steady relationship. :o Amazing isn’t it? Hehe… A lot of people keep asking me how I know this person, how did it happen etc… I guess I might as well give ya a lil info on it. Her name is Praveena Kay, and we’re of the same age. I’ve known her (supposedly) since I was 5 as we were in the same kindergarten. We then went to the same primary school for about 4 years until I moved to New Zealand. We kept in touch on and off online since and always had our late night conversations whenever we could. When I came back to Malaysia this year, we decided to meet up and quite often after that. After going on a few dates, on 1st of September, we made it official. Doesn’t seem that interesting does it? Haha. But that’s only because I decided to censor about 80% of the stories in between :P We say it’s been two months that we’ve been dating but to be honest, that’s not really true haha.

Following that my life has been quite interesting, with my mum being worried if I’m going to move to the States or will I stay in Malaysia and live my life out here? Haha. Though she’s not the only one wondering that – everyone keeps asking me the same thing. As I always say and to be honest, it’s my motto, I’m just going with the flow. Don’t really want to plan anything just to end up disappointing myself or anyone else. If life has taught me anything, it’s that anything anything – good or bad – can happen at a snap of a finger. I’m not saying that I don’t want to go to the States, I’m just saying whatever happens, happens. If I’m given the opportunity to move there, then by all means I guess it was meant to be after all these years of trying.

Short note which doesn’t really matter: We finally got a car! Haha albeit it’s only a Perdoua Myvi, it still gets us from A-B.

Well I guess here’s where I update you on the most recent event in my life – Australia!

What can I say? I love that country and I’d love to live there one day if I could. The weather isn’t too cold nor is it too hot. If there’s a burning sun, theres still a cold breeze. If it’s freezing cold in the morning, you can bet the sun is still shining bright to warm you up ;)

So a couple of friends and I flew down on the 11th of November to Melbourne on Air Asia. We each got our RETURN ticket for a total of RM690! Haha you have to love Air Asia and their crazy deals. The flight wasn’t too bad as it took off at night so we pretty much just slept through the whole thing, with a little meal in-between. I’ll tell you this – it’s always amazing to fly at night because you’ll be above the clouds, and to see the stars in the sky from that view is simply breath taking. I even woke up on of my sleeping friends just to tell her to look outside! Haha. When we landed, my aunt had already arranged someone to pick us up from the airport and drop us off to our destinations. You know, those people who wait outside for you with your name on a board – felt so VIP. Haha.

I then met up with my brother who was at my cousins place and waited there till my sister landed. It was the first time in 3 years that the 3 of us had been in the same room at the same time – it was kinda nice :) The sucky part about the whole thing was that I had hay fever! So after taking three different types of medicine and walking around in Melbourne City for a few hours shopping, I came home and crashed. I was then woken up in the middle of the night by my brother and Daniel, telling me to get ready and that we’re going clubbing. After calling me a ‘pussy’ and other names because I was refusing to go with them (because I was sick), I finally gave in to the peer pressure and got ready.

The three of us went to Crown Plaza and walked into a couple of clubs with a $20 cover charge for both. After a drink or two and a few shots, we decided to go the casino and try our luck. My brother and Daniel put $50 each on the table for Roulette and so did I. I guess we had beginners luck because on the first go, we all won on the same number haha. We walked out after winning $40 each and used all that money we won on more drinks. It was a good night I tells ya :D

The next day we all went out to my cousins place for a barbecue with the family. After that I went downstairs and got my mouth watering cans of Pulse! Oh God, did it feel good to drink it once again. After having a few drinks, we all decided to go to a club called ‘Chocolate’ – though it wasn’t spelled like that when we got there. As soon as we got there, my sister decided to be a grandma and started saying “I wanna go home, I don’t like clubbing” etc… I was like nigga whut?! So being the good brother that I am, I went to the bar, bought a few shots and made her drink one. After that and a lil pep talk with my cousins, Nadisha, she became okay and as everyone else arrived the party began. We all just danced the night away like there was no tomorrow, drinking when our bottles were empty and just having a good night – even the traditional Sinhalese ‘Baila’ dance made an appearance on the floor. I swear I heard the group of guys behind us go “Hey macha, baila! Baila!!” *face palm* Hehe.

The following days were just family nights at my aunts and cousins place for lunch and dinner – then I spent a couple of days with the triplets. We pretty much spent the days playing on their PS3 with Call of Duty: Black Ops – God I suck at playing FPS games on consoles :( I was so bad, that I went to JB Hi Fi to see if they had a PS3 Keyboard and Mouse input! Haha.

After staying at their place for a couple of days, I flew down to Sydney and met up with Fiza and Rishi. I can tell you this much, if you’re ever visiting Australia for sights, Sydney is the place to be. Darling Harbour and the Opera House are simply amazing – especially at night. I also finally got onto a ferry for the first time in my life as far as I can remember. The sights you could see from the ferry right up to the mountains are amazing and simply breath taking! Though I still prefer the Melbourne nightlife – you don’t see as much weird things – Right Fiza and Rishi? Haha.

There were a lot more events that happen in Australia, but I guess I’ll let the photos tell you the story.

Now, I’m back in Malaysia and well I’m not looking forward to all the bills I’m going to have to go through in the coming months. But I’m just happy that my life is steady now and I can’t wait to see what happens in the coming months.

P.S – Kwarn Ho, I hope you’re doing well in Korea brother and you’re taking care of yourself. We all miss you down here and want to see you back soon! <3
